Katie Gallagher PT, DPT, OCS, ATC, AIB-VR
Clinic Director, Physical TherapistKatie Gallagher PT, DPT, OCS, ATC, AIB-VR
Clinic Director, Physical TherapistKatie was originally born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up with her three sisters all attending the Philadelphia High School for Girls, an all-girls public school. In high school, Katie played field hockey, basketball, softball, soccer and swimming.
Katie continued playing softball in college at Lock Haven University of PA, where she majored in Health Sciences with an Athletic Training concentration. Katie battled injuries and she developed a relationship with a PT clinic where she got her first tech job during school breaks. Katie became a certified athletic trainer and worked primarily at a high school and in a physical therapy clinic. Katie also had the opportunity to work with local colleges and a professional softball team, the Philadelphia Force. Katie moved to the Sunshine State to continue as an athletic trainer at a high school. Katie’s desire to learn more inspired a change in career paths to physical therapy and attended the University Saint Augustine Flex DPT program. After PT school, Katie worked at an outpatient physical therapy company and became the director of their secondary clinic. Katie broadened her experience working on weekends at an acute hospital setting and home health. Initially when moving to Oklahoma with her wife, Katie worked for a skilled nursing facility until her desire to grow and learn drove her back to the outpatient physical therapy world with PT Central.
Katie has been the multi-site travel physical therapist for PT Central covering most of the clinics around the Oklahoma City area. She is proud to bring PT Central to Stillwater to serve an amazing community and surrounding areas with their physical therapy needs.
Katie is currently an active member in both American Physical Therapy Associations. and certified in vestibular and concussion rehabilitation by the American Institute of Balance. Katie is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist APTA and certified in trigger point dry needle, BFR (blood flow restriction) and ASTYM certified.
Katie currently resides in Stillwater with her wife, 2 sons Killian and Kaden, 5 dogs (a mini schnauzer and 4 french bulldogs), 2 red eared slider turtles and an African spurred tortoise. Her wife Stacie works for OSU Softball program; therefore, Katie is likely to be found cheering on the OSU Cowgirl Softball team. Outside of the softball field, Katie likes family time, photography, watching movies, crafting, cheering on OSU teams and traveling around America to see friends and family. Katie is excited to be within the Stillwater community and assist with improving their health and wellness. Go Pokes!
Ryan Toon PTA
Ryan Toon PTA
Ryan was born and raised in the small town of Watson, Oklahoma. Ryan graduated from Smithville Highschool where he played basketball all four years. Ryan enrolled at Carl Albert State College where he began his education in sports medicine. Due to his love for sports and curiosity about the human body, he began injury prevention clinics with local high school football athletes. Ryan was the last and youngest applicant in the Carl Albert State College Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program and felt he always had to prove himself as the “baby” of his class. This fueled Ryan to finish at the top of his class passing his state boards on the first attempt.
Ryan is excited to assist the community of Stillwater in getting back to activities they love. Ryan is passionate about Marvel, Star Wars, DC, physical fitness, cooking, OKC Thunder, and movies. Outside the clinic, you can find Ryan playing various sports with friends.
Paige Swayze PT, DPT
Physical TherapistPaige Swayze PT, DPT
Physical TherapistPaige was born in Lawton, Oklahoma at Comanche County Memorial Hospital where her grandfather was a general surgeon. She grew up in Norman, OK with one older sister. Paige grew up playing soccer, which sadly resulted in a few knees injuries. She tore her ACL when she was just 10 years old! With these injuries, this drew her to the field of physical therapy. Paige’s choice in pursuing physical therapy as a career was solidified after her dad’s sports-related injury, which left him a paraplegic in a wheelchair for the remainder of his life. She hopes to make an impact on her patients’ lives like her dad’s physical therapists did for him.
Paige received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma, where she majored in Psychology. She met her husband, Cole, during her Anatomy cadaver lab course. During college, Paige worked as a PT technician at PTC in Norman for more than 3 years. After college, she attended South College’s hybrid DPT program, based in Knoxville, TN. .
Paige and her husband moved to Stillwater for his Internal Medicine residency at Stillwater Medical Center. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks with her son and golden doodle Harley, traveling, playing sports, baking, and binge watching TV shows. Paige is very excited to help her patient’s meet their physical goals in order to improve their quality of life and overall wellness.
