Janie TaylorPT, DPT, OCS
Janie graduated with her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 2006. She graduated with outstanding distinction and received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence as a PT student. During graduate school, Janie was also a member of Alpha Eta Honor Society. Prior to earning her Masters in Physical Therapy, Janie graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma State University with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science. Recently, Janie was honored as a 2010 OSU College of Human Sciences Rising Star Alumni.
Janie graduated in August 2009 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from A.T. Still University, in the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Janie’s doctoral studies included differential diagnosis, gender-specific conditions such as osteoporosis, patellofemoral pain, and pain during pregnancy, and the study of neurological rehabilitation for patients following a stroke or brain injury. In 2010, Janie earned her American of Physical Therapy Specialties Board certification as an orthopedic specialist (OCS).
Janie is active in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association (OPTA), starting with her service as OPTA student legislative liaison in graduate school. She currently serves on the OPTA Board of Directors as Membership Chairman. Janie has represented Oklahoma physical therapists in the APTA House of Delegates as well as advocated for patients and therapists on Capitol Hill through APTA legislative affairs. In 2008, Janie was awarded a national “Emerging Leader” award from APTA for her service. In 2011, Janie was awarded the Kenneth Ball Award for Significant Service to the Association.
Janie is co-owner of Physical Therapy Central of Davis. She resides in Pauls Valley, with her husband, Tommy Taylor, and children, Kate and Harrison.
Kim TaborPT, DPT
Kim Tabor joined Physical Therapy Central in July 2015. She brings over 10 years experience in the physical therapy field. Kim received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Fitness in 2003. She went on to receive her Master’s degree and Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2006 from Central Michigan University. Kim is a former NAIA and NCCAA Track and Field athlete and has a special interest in sports rehabilitation.
Kim has used her therapy skills in a variety of settings including working in a rehabilitation hospital and on a Marine Corp base helping active duty military prior to joining Physical Therapy Central. Since becoming a therapist, she has continued to use an evidence based approach to treat a wide variety of injuries and is comfortable working with patients of all ages. She works with patients using individualized exercise programs and manual treatments along with instruction in proper exercise techniques to help them recover from current injuries. Kim also strives to teach patients how to prevent future injuries as well. She has attended multiple continuing education courses, with specific interest in gait and running mechanics.
Kim has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2004 and uses this membership to stay informed on the latest research and developments in the practice of Physical Therapy. She also enjoys participating in local road races and triathlons. Kim, her husband, Dr. Phillip Tabor, and their young son, are excited to live and work in Davis.
Sierra was born and raised on her family’s cattle ranch in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. She graduated from Wynnewood High School in 2005. Sierra graduated in the top 10% of her class and was active in student council, FFA, cheerleading, and participated in the Oklahoma High School Rodeo Association.
Sierra gained an interest in pursuing a physical therapy career while working as a physical therapy technician for Physical Therapy Central. She earned an Associate in Diversified Studies with an Emphasis in Science, from Oklahoma City Community College in 2012. She was later accepted into the Murray State College PTA program Sierra graduated with her Associates in Applied Science with Physical Therapy Assistant option in 2015.
Sierra married her husband, Brandon in July of 2013. Currently they reside on her family’s ranch in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. In her spare time, Sierra enjoys spending time with her husband, friends and family. Sierra loves participating in outdoor actives such as hiking, paddle boarding, and riding horses on her family’s ranch.
Sierra is an active member of the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association. She is excited to come home to her Physical Therapy Central family as a physical therapy assistant (PTA).
Chrissa Turpin, PTA, joined Physical Therapy Central of Davis in 2016. Chrissa was raised in Ada, graduating from Vanoss High School in 2005. During high school, Chrissa was active in basketball, softball, and FFA. Chrissa next attended East Central University majoring in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Chrissa graduated with honors from East Central University.
Following graduation, Chrissa decided to pursue a career in the physical therapy field after working as a PT Technician. Chrissa graduated from Murray State College (MSC) with an Associates in Applied Science, Physical Therapy Assistant Option in summer 2016. While at MSC, Chrissa graduated top of her class and received both Excellence in Leadership and Clinical Excellence awards.
Chrissa is an active member of the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association (OPTA) and the American Physical Therapy Association.APTA). Chrissa lives in Ada on the family farm – a place she loves to call home! She enjoys spending time with family, roping, and enjoying outdoor activities.
Amanda FelderPT, DPT
Amanda grew up in Lawton, OK. She attended Eisenhower High School where she was involved in student council, tennis, and softball. After high school, she moved to Norman, OK to attend the University of Oklahoma. Amanda graduated from OU in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science and a Minor in Spanish. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Langston University in 2017.
While in physical therapy school, Amanda completed clinical rotations in outpatient orthopaedic, inpatient rehabilitation, pediatric, and acute care settings. Throughout these clinical experiences, her love for pediatrics and orthopaedics continued to grow. Amanda received the Clinical Excellence Award during her last year of physical therapy school. Throughout both her undergraduate coursework and PT school, Amanda worked as a tech at numerous Physical Therapy Central locations. She is excited to come back to her PTC family as a member of the team in Davis.
Outside of PT, Amanda enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, watching and participating in sports, traveling, and going to concerts.
