Meet the Staff
Amanda Polk is the owner and manager of Physical Therapy Central of Lindsay. She earned her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2009. She earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree and completed an 18 month Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency program through Evidence in Motion in 2013. Through this program, Amanda has received advanced education in orthopaedics and became Board Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, a distinction limited to less than 5% of actively practicing physical therapists.
In addition to her graduate work, Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science from the University of Oklahoma in 2006 and an Associate of Science degree in Biology from Western Oklahoma State College in 2003.
Amanda’s areas of interest include orthopaedics, manual therapy, spinal dysfunction, and sports therapy and rehabilitation. She has received specialized training in trigger point dry needling, Astym therapy, and the McKenzie method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for spinal dysfunction. Amanda is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association (OPTA).
Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, Robert, and their children, Natalie and Nathan. She also enjoys cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners and OKC Thunder, traveling to the Caribbean, live music, and backyard get-togethers with family and friends.
Melanie earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Rose State College in 2001. As a student she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. Melanie offers many years of clinical experience including acute and post-surgical rehab, skilled nursing, and outpatient PT. Along with continuing education on orthopedic topics, nutrition, and yoga, she is certified in orthopedic manual therapy through Evidence In Motion and as an ASTYM clinician. She is a member of both the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
Originally from Moore, Melanie has made Lindsay her home since 2004. She married her husband in 2000 and together they have one daughter. Melanie enjoys attending live music performances, camping, and hiking. You can also catch her crafting and working on home improvement projects. She is excited to be back home at PTC of Lindsay.

This is what every physical therapy experience is supposed to be. Hands-on. Intelligent. Caring.

PT Central has the greatest therapists! The staff is kind, welcoming, and thoughtful. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

If you’re looking for someone caring to help get you back to normal… you must come to PT Central.

I will always come to PT Central. If I could, I would rate it more than 5 Stars. These people deserve a higher rating.

This is the best experience I’ve ever had. They’re extremely knowledgeable and truly care about helping people.
