This is what every physical therapy experience is supposed to be. Hands-on. Intelligent. Caring.
PT Central has the greatest therapists! The staff is kind, welcoming, and thoughtful. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
If you’re looking for someone caring to help get you back to normal… you must come to PT Central.
I will always come to PT Central. If I could, I would rate it more than 5 Stars. These people deserve a higher rating.
This is the best experience I’ve ever had. They’re extremely knowledgeable and truly care about helping people.
Meet the Staff
Meredith was born in Fort Worth, Texas and raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She attended Shawnee High School and ran varsity cross country for four years, was an All-State soccer player, and named Athlete of the Year in 2007.
Meredith attended Oklahoma Baptist University and received her B. S. of Exercise and Health Science in 2011. She then went on and completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in May of 2014, receiving the Lester B. Sabolich Award for Clinical Excellence upon graduation.
Meredith is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) with membership in the Orthopedic specialty group. She is also a member of the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association (OPTA) in which she has held multiple positions in leadership. She is interested in orthopedics, neuro-rehabilitation, and spinal dysfunctions. Meredith completed a year-long residency in Manual Therapy through Evidence in Motion to enhance her ability to treat a variety of orthopedic conditions and now a Certified Manual Therapist.
Meredith is currently living in Shawnee, Oklahoma with her husband, a fellow physical therapist, and their daughter, Blair. She enjoys being active and cycling with her friends and family, gardening, and traveling. Meredith also likes to try any type of craft or art project and is frequently found on the weekends covered in paint, trying to decide how abstract “art” can really look.
James was raised in Miami, Oklahoma where he attended Miami High School, graduating in 2003. After high school, he went on to Northeastern A&M for his Associates Degree and completed his Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in 2009 from the University of Oklahoma.
James received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2011. While in school, James had a variety of clinical rotations, including a spine specialty clinic, outpatient orthopedics, and hospital-based rehabilitation.
Since graduation, James has had a range of work experiences in outpatient orthopedics, home health, and treatment in the tribal care setting. He has pursued a certification as a Therapeutic Pain Specialist through the International Spine and Pain Institute, completing his coursework in 2016. He plans to pursue a Therapeutic Pain Science Fellowship to elevate his clinical skills to further benefit his patients. James has interests in post-surgical care, chronic pain, and spinal dysfunctions.
James is a Captain in the Army National Guard and is the only physical therapist in the state of Oklahoma for this branch of the Guard since 2011. He has served as a Platoon Leader for 1.5 years, coordinating medical training for all medical personnel and patient administration. His experience through the National Guard is unique but provides alternative training in leadership and clinical skills that have benefitted his role as a supervising physical therapist as a civilian.

He currently lives in Shawnee, OK with his wife, Meredith, and daughter, Blair. He likes to be outdoors, exercise, spend time with his friends and family, and cheer on the Sooners and the Thunder.
