Esmeralda Ángeles PT, DPT
Physical TherapistEsmeralda was born and raised in Hidalgo, Mexico, where she spent most of her time helping her grandparents on the farm. In 2010, she moved to Harrisonville, Missouri, and attended Harrisonville High School where she played soccer. After high school, she attended University of Missouri – Kansas City to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and a Minor in Psychology. Following undergrad school, Esmeralda attended Missouri State University and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT). She is passionate about working in the orthopedic setting and plans to become an orthopedic certified specialist (OCS).
Esmeralda lives with her husband, Claro, in North OKC. Outside of the clinic, Esmeralda enjoys listening to podcasts, spending time with family and friends, traveling back home to Mexico, going to the Thunder games, and gardening. Please feel free to share any gardening tips!

Kayla Volk PT, DPT, OCS, MTC
Clinic DirectorKayla was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota, where she graduated from Fargo North High School. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Minnesota State University, she received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Biology and a Minor in Business and Leadership. Kayla was an active participant throughout her college career in campus activities promoting health and wellness. Continuing her education, she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia.
Kayla is certified in workplace assessments including desk ergonomics, Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE), and Post-Offer Employment testing (POET). She also has completed vestibular training through the American Institute of Balance. She is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and is passionate about treating a variety of diagnosis while promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Outside of physical therapy, Kayla enjoys time with her friends, family, and dogs. She and her husband, Taylor, can usually be found outdoors (when above 50 degrees) hiking, kayaking, or near a body of water. Kayla enjoys traveling and hopes to achieve her goal of seeing all 50 states – ask to see how many she has remaining!

Mickey was born and raised in Hennessey, Oklahoma. After graduating high school, Mickey attended Oklahoma City Community College where she received her Associate of Applied Science Degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Mickey enjoys treating patients of all ages, as well as athletes and post-op patients.
Mickey lives in Choctaw, OK with her husband, and two dogs, Aspen and Indy. Outside of work, Mickey enjoys reading, watching softball, and going dirt track racing with her husband and friends.

Physical Therapist AssistantBaylee was born and raised in Choctaw, Oklahoma. After graduating Choctaw High School, Baylee attended Rose State College, where she received her Associate of Science in Health and Sport Science with certification in Personal Training. While attending Rose State College, Baylee worked as a PT technician for Physical Therapy Central and discovered her passion for the field of physical therapy. Baylee attended Oklahoma City Community College, where she received her Associate of Applied Science Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. While attending PTA school, she served her class as the Student Government Association Representative, was awarded the Faculty Association Scholarship, and membership to the American Physical Therapy Association’s Phi Tau Alpha Honor Society. Baylee maintains a certification in personal training and plans to further her education by pursuing a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and becoming a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist.
Outside of work, Baylee enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, attending concerts, going to the gym, and spending time outdoors with her partner and three rescue dogs, Stevie, Rosie, and Rex. Baylee is thrilled to be serving the same community that she calls home and is honored to be a part of your care!

Physical Therapist AssistantLaura was raised in Choctaw, Oklahoma, where she attended Choctaw High School. Laura grew up playing sports focusing on basketball, softball, and throwing discus in track and field.
Laura attended Oklahoma Baptist University and received her B.S. in Allied Health in Rehabilitation Sciences and Kinesiology. She completed her A.A.S. in Physical Therapist Assistant at Seminole State College. In July of 2020, Laura received her Specialty Certification in Orthopedics
and is a member of the APTA and the OPTA. She has completed clinical rotations in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, and pediatrics during her studies.
She enjoys playing softball, reading, going to the lake, and spending time with her family.
