Bruce Alter PT, DPT
Physical TherapistBruce was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama where he was active in sports, particularly baseball and football, from an early age. After completion of high school, he began his collegiate baseball career at Auburn University at Montgomery. He then transferred to Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia to finish his final season. Prior to graduating with a degree in Exercise Science, he signed a professional baseball contract with an organization outside of Chicago, Illinois.
After stepping away from the game, Bruce pursued his desire to help others with a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed multiple rotations all over the country, where he learned to work with different people in a variety of settings. In his final year, he was awarded the Results Orthopedic Clinical Excellence Award for outpatient orthopedics as well as the Belmont University Academic Excellence Award. After graduating in August 2018, Bruce moved to Maryland and married his wife, Kaitlin, who was a professional ballerina for the Ballet Theatre of Maryland.
His areas of interest include manual therapy, geriatrics, sports injury rehabilitation and dance medicine. He received his certification in Level One Dry Needling from The Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatment in 2017. Since beginning his career, he has achieved further certifications in Advanced Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. Additionally, he presented on FAI/Labral Pathology as part of an OP Ortho Journal Club. He plans to become Board Certified in Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapy and looks forward to learning more about leadership pathways within Physical Therapy Central.
Bruce recently moved to Oklahoma City with is wife, Kaitlin, and their golden retriever, Clyde. Outside of the clinic and the ballet, they enjoy training Clyde with the hopes of completing his Therapy Dog Training and Certification. They are looking forward to experiencing and learning more about the history and culture of Oklahoma and are always open to restaurant recommendations. Bruce is thrilled to serve Oklahoma City and the surrounding communities as a multi-site therapist. He sees his work as a way to positively impact his patient’s quality of life, while building lasting relationships through compassionate care.

Clinic Director, Physical TherapistBrett was born and raised in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Carl Albert High School and attended the University of Oklahoma for his Bachelors of Science in Health and Exercise Science. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. During his time in school, he served as the APTA Core Ambassador for all of Oklahoma. He completed several rotations, including getting the opportunity to work with basic training soldiers at Fort Sill.
After graduation, Brett began his career in Purcell, Oklahoma where he worked for over two years. He also was appointed to serve as Treasurer and as a Board of Directors voting member for APTA Oklahoma, the state’s physical therapy association, where he was re-elected to a second two-year term in April 2023. He joined Physical Therapy Central in October 2023, fulfilling a dream of returning to his hometown. Brett is interested in post-surgical rehabilitation, sports therapy, dry needling, and blood flow restriction.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Kyla, son Lance, and two dogs, Maya and Garth. Brett enjoys OU football, soccer, two stepping, hunting, fishing, and relaxing to good music with friends and family.

Physical Therapist AssistantJonathan was born and raised in Prague, Oklahoma where graduated from Prague High School. He attended Seminole State College where he earned his Associate of Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
After graduation, Jonathan moved to Mount Sterling, Kentucky where he began his career as a PTA. In August of 2023, Jonathan moved back to Oklahoma to be closer to family and serve the community he loves. He joined the team at Physical Therapy Central in November 2023.
When Jonathan isn’t working, he enjoys hiking, fishing, playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends, video games, spending time with family, and finding new board games to enjoy.

Physical Therapist AssistantHailey Hovelsrud began her PTA career with Pima Medical Institute in 2019 and completed her PTA degree in 2020. She practiced in her hometown for a few years before moving to Tennessee to be closer to her fiancé. There she practiced in an outpatient and home health clinic before relocating to Oklahoma, and joined Physical Therapy Central in June 2024.
