Cate was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma with her parents, brothers, and dogs. When she was younger, she participated in soccer, competitive tumbling, dance, softball, and tennis. She graduated from Edmond North High School, where she was a state champion in tennis and was selected to participate in All-State tennis after her senior year. She attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman, where she was active in the Pi Beta Phi sorority.
Cate graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science, from the OU Health Sciences Center, where she was a recipient of the Alice Sowers Scholarship.
Cate is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association (OPTA). She completed the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency through Evidence in Morton (EIM) and is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy.
Cate currently lives in Oklahoma Citya with her husband and dogs. When she’s not in the clinic, Cate enjoys spending time with friends and family, running and staying active, and rooting for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Oklahoma Sooners. She enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing new things. Her most memorable trips include Japan during cherry blossom season, Hawaii, Jamaica, and hiking through Yellowstone National Park. Cate has participated in the Oklahoma City Memorial half-marathon multiple times and enjoys helping other runners achieve their goals.
