Physical Therapy Central (PT Central) is proud to announce their agreement with Learfield Sports’ Sooner Sports Properties will continue through the 2016-2017 athletic season. The agreement makes PT Central the preferred physical therapy provider of the Sooner Sports Network throughout the upcoming year.
The sponsorship, which began last year, distinguishes PT Central as a proud sponsor of all OU’s athletic programs, including but not limited to football and men’s and women’s basketball. The basketball sponsorship will continue to include support for the Cavett Kids Foundation, allowing both OU Athletics and PT Central to give back to a local charity that benefits children with chronic illnesses.
Last basketball season, through the Sooner Sports Network sponsorship, PT Central hosted a #Hearts4Purpose fundraiser in support of the Cavett Kids Foundation. Participants could donate online or in their local clinic, and those who also posted a photo to social media from one of the selfie stations set up in clinics were registered to win a prize. The groundbreaking 5-day fundraiser doubled PT Central’s initial goal of $10,000. A $20,000 check was presented to the Cavett Kids Foundation at halftime of the Oklahoma University Women’s Basketball game against Texas Christian University on February 6, 2016.
