Cody grew up in Elk City, Oklahoma, and graduated from Elk City High School. In high school, Cody played football, basketball, golf, and soccer. He was awarded a football scholarship at the end of his high school career to play at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he played for 3 years before graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Chemistry and a minor in Biology.

Cody attended Physical Therapy school at South College in Knoxville, TN, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) & Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association (OPTA) and enjoys treating patients of all ages, general orthopedic impairments, return to sport athletes, balance disorders & post-operative patients.

Cody became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) in March 2023 while obtaining his Manual Therapy Certification (MTC). Cody and his wife Courtney enjoy going to OSU Cowboy games, playing golf, cheering on the OKC Thunder, and spending time outdoors. He is also an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, enjoys being around family & friends, and finding new spots to travel.
