Elizabeth Evans Earns Designation of Certified Pelvic Health Practitioner

Physical Therapy Central (PTC) is proud to announce that Elizabeth Evans, PT, DPT, OCS, has earned the designation of Certified Pelvic Health Practitioner from the Evidence In Motion (EIM) Institute of Health Professions, becoming the first physical therapist in Oklahoma to complete the program.

Dr. Evans graduated from University of Oklahoma in 2008 with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy and went on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy and a post-graduate orthopaedic residency through EIM in 2012. Last July, she completed EIM’s Pelvic health Certification Program, a 12-month program that combines online coursework with classroom work and mentorship by a local OB/GYN, Dr. Lisa Waterman.

“We are thrilled that Dr. Evans has completed the Pelvic Health Certification and offer her our sincere congratulations,” said Bridgit Finley, CEO of Physical Therapy Central. “She has put in a lot of hard work and dedication into completing the program with the sole interest in improving her patients lives, and we look forward to seeing how they benefit from her very specialized expertise.”

Dr. Evans’s extensive knowledge enables her to treat both women and men with pelvic pain, incontinence, chronic low back pain, SI joint/hip dysfunction, and pregnancy/post-partum related low back and pelvic dysfunctions, areas that have been lacking in traditional physical therapy education.
