Our Staff: Newcastle ClinicThe physical therapists at Physical Therapy Central all have advanced physical therapy degrees at either the Master's or Doctorate level. This allows the therapists to provide efficient and effective treatment outcomes for the patients. Each member of the staff completes a minimum of 40 continuing education hours per year to stay at the top of their field. RaeAnn S. Thomas, PT, DPT, OCSBoard Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy RaeAnn is a Newcastle native and graduated from Newcastle High School in 1996. She earned her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2002. She was selected to be a Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society member, indicating she graduated in the top 10% of her class. In 2005, RaeAnn opened Physical Therapy Central of Newcastle while pursuing her doctorate degree. In March of 2007, she graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. Her final Doctorate work was on Evaluation and Treatment of Acetabular Labral Pathology of the Hip. RaeAnn has been an active Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association and American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) member since 1999. In 2007, she became an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor and in 2006 was awarded Clinical Instructor of the Year from the University of Oklahoma physical therapy school. Her special areas of interest include orthopedics, advanced sports rehabilitation, spinal dysfunction, and manual therapy. She has extensive training in muscle energy techniques and joint mobilization of the spine. RaeAnn's post-graduate course work has been primarily orthopedic based to include ACL rehab and injury prevention as well as evaluation and treatment of shoulder pathology. RaeAnn enjoys cycling, traveling, and playing golf. However, she mostly enjoys spending time with her new son Lucas. Joshua T. Williams, PT, MPTJosh earned his Master's of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2002. Josh was also a member of the Alpha Eta Honors Society, which represents the top 10% of Allied Health Students in the country. He was the American Physical Therapy Association's Sports Section National Student of the Year in 2002. Prior to attending physical therapy school, Josh graduated from Newcastle High School in 1996 and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University from 1996-1999. Josh's areas of interest include rehabilitation and prevention of sports injuries, sports conditioning, post-operative rehabilitation and clinical education of physical therapy students. He has attended a multitude of continuing education courses including specialization in spinal manipulation, post-operative care, prevention of sports injuries, and athletic strength and conditioning. He has previously served the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association as Student Liaison from 2003-2005 and taught continuing education courses at several state meetings. He is a life-long resident of the Tri-city area and a proud member of the Physical Therapy Central team. Josh and his wife Misty currently reside in Tuttle with their daughter Dacia and son Rylan. He enjoys playing golf, attending OU basketball games, and spending time with his family. Kevin Wilcher, PT, DPTKevin earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008 from Emory University. Emory University is located in Atlanta, Georgia and is ranked as one of the top physical therapy programs in the Nation. During physical therapy school he served as student liaison for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Kevin was also chosen by Emory University to represent them as a student panel member during the 2008 Accreditation Process. Kevin attended the University of Oklahoma during his undergraduate studies. In 2005, he earned his Bachelors in Zoology with an emphasis in Bio-Medical Sciences. Kevin's special interests include orthopedic and sports-related injuries as well as spine rehabilitation. His future plans include board certification in one of the specialty areas of the American Physical Therapy Association. Kevin is originally from Altus, Oklahoma graduating from high school in 1999. He has vast experience in instructing both swimming and tennis lessons to various age groups at the elite level. During his free time he enjoys traveling, watching movies, playing golf and volleyball, and listening to music. Ashley Johnson, PT, DPTAshley is originally from Midwest City, OK and graduated from Carl Albert High School in 2003 where she played volleyball, basketball, and track. She then earned her Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science in 2007 from the University of Oklahoma. During this time, Ashley was involved in community service serving on the Breast Cancer Awareness Committee, the Great American Smoke-out Committee, and the Adopt-A-Child Committee. Ashley earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2011 from the University of Oklahoma. While attending physical therapy school, Ashley was the Community Service Chair for the Student Physical Therapy Association. She organized several community service events, including developing physical activities for elementary school kids, organizing a student medical team for the OKC Memorial Marathon, assisting children with developmental disabilities playing baseball, Relay for Life, and buying Christmas presents for children in Children's Hospital. Ashley is also involved in the American Physical Therapy Association {APTA} and Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association {OPTA}. She attended the APTA National Student Conclave in Miami, FL in 2009. She continues to participate in all state meetings and currently serves as the Treasurer for the OPTA Political Action Committee. Her special interests include orthopedics, manual therapy, spinal dysfunction, and neurological rehabilitation. Her future plans include Board Certification in one of the specialty areas offered by the APTA. During her free time, Ashley enjoys attending OU sporting events, making crafts, traveling, reading, running, and volunteering in the community. Candace Hladik, PTACandace Hladik PTA graduated from Moore High School and began her college career at Rose State College. After getting married, she moved to California where her husband was stationed with the United States Marine Corps. Candace's husband was deployed to Iraq and sustained an injury during his time there. This is how Candace discovered her interest in physical therapy. Candace then attended Mt. San Jacinto Community College in southern California before returning back home to Oklahoma. She then attended Oklahoma City Community College where she was named Who's Who among Community College Students and was on the President's Honor Roll. Candace graduated with her Physical Therapist Assistant's Degree in 2009. Candace began her career with Physical Therapy Central when she completed her Orthopedic Internship here in 2008. Her work experience also includes home health care as well as work in a skilled nursing facility, giving her experience with a broad spectrum of patients. Candace is an active Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association and American Physical Therapy Association member. She is also currently participating in Physical Therapy Central's year-long mentorship program, participating in evidence-based practice and advanced manual orthopedic courses. Candace resides in Newcastle and enjoys spending time with her husband Robert and sons Conner, Cole and Seth. She enjoys reading, gardening, crafts, and watching her sons' sporting events.
