Our Staff: Pauls Valley Clinic


The physical therapists at Physical Therapy Central all have advanced physical therapy degrees at either the masters or doctorate level. This allows the therapists to provide efficient and effective treatment outcomes for the patients. Each member of the staff completes a minimum of 40 continuing education hours per year to stay at the top of their field.

 

Kahn L. Nirschl, PT, DPT, OCS
Board Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy

Earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University in 2001 with honors. In 2006, Kahn obtained his Orthopaedic Specialist Certification, which is a designation limited to less than 5% of actively practicing physical therapists.

Kahn's areas of interest are broad but include spinal dysfunction, sports medicine, orthopaedic rehabilitation, and the applications of biomechanics and the impact of the neurological system in its approach to the rehabilitation of patients afflicted with such conditions as stroke, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, and peripheral neuropathy. With additional training in cardiovascular rehab and wound management, Kahn is considered a generalist who can manage a diverse patient population.

He is active in the OPTA and APTA. Kahn owns and operates Physical Therapy Central of Pauls Valley.

Amanda Von Raesfeld

Amanda Von Raesfeld, PT, MPT

Amanda Von Raesfeld earned her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 2009 where she was listed on the Dean's Honor Roll. In addition to her graduate work, Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Exercise Science from the University of Oklahoma in 2006 and an Associate of Science Degree in Biology in 2003.

Amanda's areas of interest include orthopedics, manual therapy, spinal dysfunction, and sports therapy. She has received specialized training in the McKenzie method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for spinal dysfunction.

Amanda is active in the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association as well as the American Physical Therapy Association.

 

Jennifer Scott, PTA

Earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Oklahoma City Community College in 2006. She was on the President's Honor Roll as well as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Prior to the Physical Therapist Assistant program, she earned an associate's degree from Seminole State College. During these two years, she also completed a two year coaching internship in junior high softball, basketball, volleyball, and track.

Jennifer brings seven years of physical therapy experience to Physical Therapy Central as she worked in an orthopaedic practice before graduation.  Jennifer has extensive experience with injuries involving the extremities, as well as exceptional manual therapy skills.  Additionally, she is a certified in aquatic physical therapy.

Jennifer is active in the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association and American Physical Therapy Association.

Courtney Carothers, PTA

Earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Oklahoma City Community College in 2010 with honors. Prior to the Physical Therapist Assistant program, she earned an associate's in Science from Oklahoma City Community College.

Courtney has 4 years of orthopedic physical therapy experience with Physical Therapy Central prior to her graduation from her PTA program at Oklahoma City Community College.

She has remained active in the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association and American Physical Therapy Association.
