Our Staff: Pauls Valley Clinic
The physical therapists at Physical Therapy Central all have advanced physical therapy degrees at either the Master’s or Doctorate level. This allows the therapists to provide efficient and effective treatment outcomes for the patients. Each member of the staff completes a minimum of 40 continuing education hours per year to stay at the top of their field.
Kahn L. Nirschl, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Kahn grew up in Pauls Valley, OK with his younger sister and attended Pauls Valley High lettering in basketball and tennis graduating in 1994. He continued his education earning his Bachelor’s of Science from St. Gregory’s University in 1998. Kahn’s education then took him to Omaha, Nebraska and Creighton University where he graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2001.
In 2006, Kahn became Board Certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, a distinction limited to less than 5% of actively practicing Physical Therapists. Being a life-long learner, Kahn began a Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy with Evidence in Motion in January 2011 emphasizing advanced clinical reasoning, manual therapy skills, and teaching. Kahn completed this in December 2013 and will receive his designation as a Fellow during AAOMPT National Conference in 2014. Kahn is one of only a few Fellows practicing in the state of Oklahoma.
Kahn is an active member of both the OPTA and APTA, is actively engaged in teaching on both a state and national level to audiences ranging from PT students to experienced PTs. Kahn’s desire is to advance the knowledge and ability of the profession of Physical Therapy within the state of Oklahoma in the areas of orthopedics, manual therapy of the spine and extremities including manipulative techniques and the incorporation of trigger point dry needling with advanced clinical reasoning through teaching and mentoring.
Nicole Parrish grew up in Norman, Oklahoma where she attended and graduated from Norman High School. It was while playing for Norman High’s volleyball team that she first became interested in injury prevention and physical therapy. Nicole graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Oklahoma with her Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2009.
While pursuing her undergraduate degree she returned to Norman to coach volleyball for six years; two years as a head coach at Alcott Middle School and four years as the Freshman coach at Norman High School. Her experiences while coaching re-affirmed her desire to pursue a career that would allow her to help young athletes prevent and recover from injuries more quickly. Nicole received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 2013.
Nicole is active in the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association as well as the American Physical Therapy Association.
Molly was born and raised in northwestern Wisconsin where she was named the 2005 Honor Athlete of Unity High School. She participated in track, cross-country, competition and performance dance teams and soccer. She continued her cross-country career at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN where she received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science. Molly earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Utah.
Molly has clinical experience in various settings and locations including outpatient orthopedics at PT Solutions in Niceville, Florida, pediatrics, acute rehab and outpatient orthopedics at Terrio Therapy and Fitness in Bakersfield, California. These experiences make her well rounded to treat patients of all ages and injuries/disorders at any stage. She also has a background in manual therapy.
Molly has been an active member of the APTA and UPTA since 2010 and an active OPTA member since 2014.
Katie was born and raised in Cheyenne, WY. In 2006 she graduated from Cheyenne Central High where she participated in a variety of sports including volleyball, basketball, and soccer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from the University of Wyoming. She earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Rocky Mountain University of Health Profession in Utah and graduated in 2013.
While pursuing her degree in physical therapy, Katie completed clinical rotations at Providence St. Marys Hospital in Walla Walla, WA and completed an 11 month rotation with Physical Therapy Central in Norman. Her clinical rotation with Physical Therapy Central provided her with an excellent background in orthopedic and manual therapy.
Katie has been an active member of the APTA since 2010 and is excited to become a member of the OPTA. She plans to continue her education through an orthopedic residency program provided by Evidence In Motion in the near future.
Stephanie was born in Eureka, CA and was raised in the military along with her younger brother and sister. Her family’s travels took her around the country and to North Carolina where she graduated high school. Throughout high school she played volleyball and track and field.
She continued her passion for athletics by playing club volleyball at the University of North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sport Science in 2011. She continued her education at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011 where she received the Creighton University Book award for academic achievements and exemplary acknowledgements for clinical practice. Her clinical rotations included various settings in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Wyoming but it was her rotation at Physical Therapy Central where she discovered her love for orthopedics.
Stephanie currently lives in Norman, where she enjoys playing and coaching volleyball whenever she can. She also enjoys other opportunities to stay active including rock climbing, kayaking and obstacle events. She is an avid Tar Heel basketball fan and loves to spend time with her sister who lives in Edmond.
Trent Wauters was born in Oklahoma City, but grew up on a small lake in Arcadia, OK. He went to Oklahoma Christian School (OCS) from pre-K to 8th grade, and graduated from Bishop McGuinness High School in 2004. He attended the University of Oklahoma, where he graduated in 2011 with his BS in multidisciplinary studies.
trent graduated from OCCC in 2014 from the Physical Therapy Assistant Program, and received the Clinical Excellence Award for his performance during clinical rotations. He enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities, golfing, mountain biking, and staying physically active. Trent and his wife, Daryn, recently had a baby boy, Copelin Louis Wauters, on July 20th, 2014. He is active in the OPTA/APTA, and has a special interest in musculoskeletal conditions that affect the extremities.
