#Hearts4Purpose Raises $20,000 For Cavett Kids Foundation

We are proud to announce that together we raised $20,000 for the Cavett Kids Foundation through the #Hearts4Purpose social media fundraiser, which ran February 1 – February 5, 2016.

Patients and friends of PT Central were invited to make a donation either online or at their local clinic, snap a pic in front of the designated selfie stations, and use the hashtag #Hearts4Purpose on social media to participate. Donations of any amount were accepted and there was no limit to the amount of pictures that could be submitted.

Participants were then entered to win prizes like a custom Oklahoma University necklace donated by Brockhaus Jewelry, concert tickets and a night for two at the Riverwind Casino or Winstar Casino and Resort, a Yeti Ice Chest, a signed Kevin Durant shoe, and sailing lessons for four at Lake Hefner.

“PT Central was thrilled to be able to donate $20,000 to the Cavett Kids Foundation,” said Amy Lee, PT, MPT, OCS. “The Cavett Kids Foundation’s mission is near and dear to our hearts, and we are pleased to be able to lend support to the work they do. We are grateful for the participation of our families, friends, and patients, and appreciative of their part in helping us double our original goal of raising $10,000 in 5 days.”

The $20,000 check was presented to the Cavett Kids Foundation at halftime of the Oklahoma University Women’s Basketball game against Texas Christian University on February 6, 2016. The money will help the Cavett Kids Foundation’s six summer camps serve 360 children with various life-threatening and chronic illnesses each year and over 12,000 children with ongoing programs.
