PTC & Riverwind Casino Team up for the Cavett Kids Foundation

Physical Therapy Central and Riverwind Casino Team up for the Cavett Kids Foundation
(Oklahoma City, OK.) December 29, 2014 – This Christmas Season Physical Therapy Central (PTC) wanted to give back in a big way. On December 8th they launched a campaign for The Cavett Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is “developing character, coping, and connection for kids battling life-threatening illnesses.” PTC’s goal was for all 17 clinics to collectively raise $10,000 for the foundation with the deadline scheduled for midnight on Christmas Eve.

Riverwind Casino’s prizes for the top 4 individual donors and for the clinic that raised the most money created a friendly and competitive rivalry among the clinics as well as the entire Physical Therapy Central staff, encouraging everyone to give BIG! The Social Media Committee designed “selfie stations” for picture-taking and to document donations on Physical Therapy Central and Cavett Kid’s Facebook pages. These stations were also used for sharing pictures of special guest appearances by a few Cavett Kid Campers themselves!

In addition to Riverwind’s prizes, the clinics used every tactic (from auctions to bake sales) to raise money and their efforts were a huge success. Thanks to the generosity of every single donation, over $22,000 was raised to help fund the six Cavett Kids camps that will be held in 2015.

Jenny Rodgers, Executive Director at Cavett Kids stated, “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone at Physical Therapy Central! Thanks to their generosity, so many children battling life-threatening illnesses will be able to experience a place where illness does not define [them]. It was amazing to see how so many people came together to help make a difference in the lives of so many of our Cavett Kids. We are constantly amazed by the dedication, kindness, compassion and love shown to us by everyone at PTC. The positive energy throughout the entire company is contagious – it’s something you just want to be a part of! We are so blessed to have PTC as a part of our Cavett Kids Family!”

Merry Christmas to the Cavett Kids Foundation from Physical Therapy Central and Riverwind Casino – may this New Year bring each camper friendship, laughter and unforgettable memories!
